Other Notes
- Show and Sells: Usually start the 3 rd weekend in Sept. and run through the end of Oct. Those dates may very slightly yr. to yr. based on Council’s schedule given to the kernels each August.
- We ask each of the venues to allow us to have both weekend days. Many do so, but some only allow one weekend day (i.e. Casey’s).
- Time slots are typically set for 10am-4pm. This allows each of the scouts a 2 hr. shift. Casey’s only allows a 4 hr. shift from 11am-3pm.
- We are responsible to set up the items/products needed for Show and Sells (product, table, chair, cash box, opening bank, donation canister, tally sheet, clip boards, sales sheet, pencils)
- Keep popcorn Inventory in garage.
- Kickoff meeting is usually mid-August. This is an informational meeting typically held at Yellow Box church and lasts about 2 hrs.
- Initial pick up, called “Preorder Distribution” for the Pack is mid Sept. Selling runs through to the first Saturday in November called “Super Saturday”. This is when the extra inventory & all paperwork is handed in to Council.
- Log each scouts inventory as well as Show and Sell inventory using Advanced Troop Track.
- Case transfers are not logged on to Advanced Troop Track. They are handled through the district popcorn leader via email.
